| Naming Ceremonies existed in our culture long before Christianity. Every country and every nation has a ceremony to welcome a new child into the world, to give that child recognition and to celebrate the birth of a new life. In Roman law, for example, a child was not deemed a member of the family, or a citizen, until named in such a ceremony. | ![]() |

| Although the ceremonies have been modified over time to suit our present culture, they still have the same intention and carry the same meaning. They publicly welcome a child into the family and bless it's life. Namings have traditionally been held for the very young, but there is an increasing demand for such ceremonies for older children and adults. |

| Together, we create a ceremony which rejoices in the blessing of the child in your life in the presence of family and close friends. We honour the important roles of: parents, godparents or mentors and grandparents. Each receive a special certificate on the day. |
